Warner Bros. has released the first full trailer for Dune: Part Three, offering the clearest look yet at the concluding chapter of Denis Villeneuve's adaptation of Frank Herbert's science fiction saga.

Based on Dune Messiah, the third film takes place roughly 17 years after the events of Dune: Part Two. Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) now rules as Emperor, but his reign has transformed the political landscape of the Imperium. Rather than continuing Paul's rise, the story explores the consequences of his decisions, as religious devotion, political unrest, and new adversaries threaten the empire he helped create.

The trailer reunites Chalamet with Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem, Charlotte Rampling, and Jason Momoa, while expanding the roles of Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides and Robert Pattinson as the shape-shifting Scytale. Both characters are expected to play pivotal roles in the film's central conflict.

Visually, Part Three continues the aesthetic established by Villeneuve and cinematographer Linus Sandgren. Monumental architecture, sweeping desert landscapes, and large-scale practical environments once again define Arrakis, while the trailer hints at a more intimate story centered on Paul's increasingly fragile relationships with Chani and Princess Irulan.

Villeneuve has described the film as distinct from its predecessors, emphasizing that Part Three is not designed to simply escalate the scale of the first two films, but to conclude Paul's story with "its own energy." That approach aligns with Dune Messiah, a novel that shifts its focus from conquest to the burden of leadership and the unintended consequences of absolute power.

Following the critical and commercial success of the first two installments, Dune: Part Three arrives with considerable expectations. If the trailer is any indication, Villeneuve's final chapter appears less concerned with expanding the universe than with bringing one of modern science fiction's most influential stories to a deliberate and measured close.
