What To Do If You Get Your Hairline Pushed Back
Dang, son. Sad to see you here. We want you to know that this wasn't your fault and we can still push- err...get through this together.
1) The first thing to know about pushback is that it isn't permanent, but can surely become permanent. In the unfortunate event that your barber decides to widen your line, you must now submit yourself to the process of patience. If you go back the following week (even to a new barber) the best he can do is go over the damage- do it enough and eventually the hair just won't grow back.
2) Keep your cool. Personal image is certainly important, but unless you have a pure novice cutting you up, you probably weren't knocked back that far. If you aren't so quick to throw hands you can probably reason with the barber and arrange a discount if not a free cut.
3) Don't slander. The barber game is a real delicate industry to work in. Because they essentially act as independent contractors, reputations are what feed families. A guy can do 100 of the best cuts you've ever seen, then slip and do a so-so one. That so-so one might be you, and it might have been your hairline. We can't tell you what to do, but if the barber has been good to you up until now, is a respectful guy, and handles his business, try and show him some mercy, eh?
