Solange Is Releasing A New Album This Fall
In a new interview with T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Solange speaks on new music but doesn’t quite share a release date for the follow-up to 2016’s A Seat at the Table. The piece also states that “the album’s release is imminent this fall, probably sometime soon.”
Solange notes that she recorded the LP in multiple locations like Jamaica, New Orleans, and California’s Topanga Canyon. “There is a lot of jazz at the core,” she tells T. “But with electronic and hip-hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle.”
Notorious for seamlessly matching her visuals to the soundscapes she creates, expect this new project to represent a similar ethos. In the meantime, feel free to revisit 2016’s Cranes In The Sky.
